What Sets Us Apart

Our Philosophy

Jacobs Pediatric Dentistry is committed to providing the latest and most advanced dental care for your child in a kid-friendly and caring environment.

Dr. Sherida Jacobs understands that every child is different and will apply behavioral and educational techniques unique to every child that visits.

We have an open-door policy and welcome parents into the treatment areas with their child.

Our goal is for every child to have a wonderful dental experience, from start to finish.

Establishing Lifetimes of Beautifully Healthy and Happy Smiles, One Child at a Time

At Jacobs Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Jacobs and her team welcome every child as a new friend and care for them as if they were our own little one!

We have served Middle Georgia infants, children, teens, and youth with special needs since 2000. Throughout the years, we have maintained a highly-regarded reputation by demonstrating quality dentistry, professionalism, and always placing our patients’ care above all else.

Dr. Jacobs and each member of our team is highly-skilled, experienced, and regularly completes continuing professional education. We’re also kind, thoughtful, and love what we do: we spend our days with energetic kids and get to enjoy real, positive relationships with each!

  • Family-Oriented: Our staff’s primary focus is to build a relationship of trust with our patients and their families, and welcome parents to be present during their child’s office visits. This policy allows us to educate parents, ensures parents understand the child’s treatment needs, and fosters open, clear communication.
  • Focus on Education: Patient and family education is a major part of our practice. Not only do we help each child understand the importance of daily oral care, but we also provide parents with non-judgmental, practical guidance. Working with each family, we offer education on toothpaste selection, diet, thumb-sucking cessation, and a wide range of topics related to home care, all tailored to their child’s specific concerns.
  • Prevention and Early Detection are Key: Along with useful education, Dr. Jacobs and our staff are passionate about preventive care, including sealants and Fluoride treatments, to protect teeth and minimize the risk of cavities. When problems arise, we know early detection and treatment are essential to stopping problems from worsening. We stress regular six-month checkups that include an exam and cleaning, X-rays, and Fluoride.
  • Kid-Friendly Atmosphere: Dr. Jacobs and our team are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment for our young patients. We have child-friendly movies playing in our reception room and in all exam rooms, and kids are able to wear “cool” sunglasses during cleanings and treatment. Of course, all of our patients look forward to our legendary “Treasure Chest” and balloons at the end of their visits!
